By the time Ezra arrived, Elaine had already lost consciousness. After her outburst, Skylar had finally wrestled the fruit knife from her hand. However, she was completely drained. Just as she tried to stand, using the pantry door for support, she collapsed. Skylar carried her upstairs and laid her on the bed. He had just brought warm water from the bathroom when Ezra knocked and entered the room with his medical kit. Ezra was caught off guard by Skylar's grim expression. He paused before asking skeptically, "Wait, who's the patient here?" After all, Skylar's complexion looked even worse now than it had when he first woke from his coma. Skylar glanced at Ezra without saying a single word, only using his eyes to gesture toward Elaine on the bed. Then, he placed the water basin on the bedside table and sat directly on the couch. Ezra approached the bedside and examined Elaine while inwardly grumbling, "How can someone lose their memory and still keep the exact same grumpy attitude?
