Chapter 46 Elaine's Death From Heart Failure
The phone slipped from Elaine's hand and dropped to the floor. A sudden, sharp ringing filled her ears, drowning out the voice on the other end of the call.
She stood up, her face ghostly pale, and moved toward the door—only for it to swing open before she could reach it.
Skylar rushed in, his expression tense. One look at her told him that he was too late. He had just gotten word that Eric had fallen to his death and had raced upstairs to stop her from answering the phone. However, he hadn't made it in time.
