Chapter 82 One Cut and It's Over
Elaine swept everything off the small dining table. The crisp sound of glass shattering rang out, and her hands trembled slightly. But her expression stayed calm. "Everything can still go back to how it was? Then why don't you pick all that up from the floor and set it back on the table? I feel like eating all of a sudden."
The food was now dirty and scattered across the floor. How could it possibly be set back on the table again?
Skylar sat on the edge of the bed, staring at the mess on the floor without a word.
The silence stretched so long that Elaine lost any desire to speak another word to him. She reached out, moved the table aside, leaned back, and closed her eyes.
"You should leave. I want to rest. And stop wasting your energy. I'm not interested in anything from you anymore, and I don't need to hear any more of your ridiculous lines."
Skylar stood. Elaine assumed he had left and wouldn't come back—but then he returned with cleaning tools. He silently swept everything off
