Back then, Callum had been two years ahead of her at Falveria—a star among stars, the campus golden boy.
There were always beautiful women around him, like butterflies chasing the sun, and she was just the invisible one in the crowd.
Her eyes stung without warning.
Not long after, Callum finished the small bowl of pasta and soup, down to the last drop of broth.
He set his utensils down and dabbed the corner of his mouth with a napkin.
This was the first and only dinner she had ever made for him as his wife, and now he'd tasted it.
He looked up at her, his face unreadable.
"Be at the office by ten tomorrow. We'll sign the papers. I'll transfer 300 million to you. Consider it compensation for the past three years. The villa you used to live in, I'll sign that over too. There's no need for you to stay in a place like this."
His voice was calm and businesslike.
Even though she'd already told him she didn't want anything after the divorce, he didn't want to owe her.
