Violet sat down on the bed, staring off into space after Viola left. She was dazed by all that she had heard and felt that it was finished. There was nothing to fight for anymore. She could fight her sister for her love but now that a baby was involved, no matter how it came about, whether by Viola's deceit or Damien's miscalculations, she would have to step down and allow Damien to marry Viola.
