With every incident Nadia mentioned, Clive's face turned even paler, and he shook even harder. He looked like he would fall over at any moment.
He had intentionally forgotten or downplayed the harm, but when she calmly recounted those incidents, they sounded so bloody and cruel that he couldn't breathe.
