All I could do was turn her head and place my lips against her soft, plump ones. "You didn't deserve to go through that. I wrote poetry too." She looked up at me with furrowed brows and I nodded. "Yep. Like you, it allowed me to communicate with different parts of myself on personal levels."
She smiled, and no not the small smile but a big one. "I'm glad someone else gets it." She laid her head back on my chest. "Anything else?"
"Did you always want to be a lawyer?"
"Oh God yes. Ever since I was a kid I'd watch my mom on TV putting away all the bad people and I wanted to do that same thing. It looked fun... challenging."
I played with her soft hair, "Do you plan on being a lawyer forever?"
"As long as possible." I hummed in response in response and continued to play with her hair. She took on of my hands and started fiddling with the rings as we fell into a comfortable silence.
