In the villa's main hall, Theodore leaned against the wall, a cigarette burning down to the filter between his fingers. Smoke curled around his face, veiling the storm within his eyes. His parents sat on the couch, waiting anxiously. Although Theodore had said Caleb was not his biological son, Miranda still clung to a shred of hope. She insisted on a paternity test, and the results had disappointed her. Now, all her hopes were pinned on the child in Bianca's womb. After a long while, the assistant rushed in and handed Theodore a sealed document envelope. He took it with a blank expression but did not open it. Miranda, unable to wait another second, snatched it from his hand. Her fingers trembled as she tore it open. The moment she saw the results, a sharp scream tore from her throat before her body crumpled to the floor. The envelope hit the ground beside her as Edward hurried to catch her and rushed her to the hospital. Theodore stood there, watching it all unfold like a circus
