Calliope let out a startled "Ah!" and instinctively crossed her arms over her chest as she spun around. That sudden flash of white and her flustered face hit Conrad square in the eyes. His breath hitched for a second. Then he quickly turned around and shut the door. Outside, he leaned against the wall, his Adam's apple bobbing hard. He closed his eyes, but the brief glimpse just now kept replaying in his head. When Calliope had finally changed, he walked back in. Seeing him calmly tidying up the fruit basket and suitcase, her racing heart finally settled a bit. Maybe... he hadn't seen anything? Conrad grabbed everything in both hands and, with just a slight pause, handed her only the phone. "Wait for me at the hospital entrance." She nodded and quickly headed out. But just as she stepped outside, she bumped into a familiar figure-stern and cold as ever. Lucien clearly wasn't expecting to see her here. A flicker of surprise crossed his eyes. Calliope turned her face away, pretending not
