Chapter 1550
Elliot's anger burned hotter than the stove fire inside the cottage.
His hand moved to his lower back, swiftly drawing his gun. Then, he loaded it, chambered a round, and pressed the barrel firmly against the back of Nathaniel's head.
Hearing the commotion, Nathaniel stopped and turned around, not flinching at the gun pointed at him.
He looked puzzled and asked, "What are you doing?"
Elliot's voice was cold and menacing as he uttered, "I'm giving you one last chance to explain. You've been alone with Nana in this place for four days. Are you sure you didn't do anything to her?"
Nathaniel chuckled. "You've got it all wrong. I never had the chance to be alone with her. Put that gun away before you scare them."
His words implied there were others inside.
Elliot's expression softened slightly as he holstered his gun, adjusting his coat to conceal it.
