Chapter 267

"Late to work and leaving early? Why didn't you tell me?" Elaine glared at Matthew. "I didn't want you to worry," he replied helplessly. "Not telling me makes me worry even more." Elaine rolled her eyes at him and couldn't help but sigh. "What can we do to help Julia? Maybe I should move in with her." Elaine had brought up the idea of Julia moving back home several times. Julia had refused each time, saying she was perfectly fine living alone. After so many attempts, Elaine dropped the subject to avoid upsetting her any further. "That might work. Ask her tomorrow. If she agrees, I'll help you pack and move over," Matthew said. Although he'd miss having Elaine around, their daughter's well-being was the priority right now. "Alright." Elaine nodded. The couple chatted a bit more before heading downstairs for dinner. But as soon as they reached the bottom of the stairs, Melody informed them that Sebastian had come by again. "Should I invite Mr. Holt in?" Melody asked.
