Rhythmic strokes could be heard in the VIP suite at the hospital as the pen glided across the paper.
Julia's head was still wrapped in bandages. While she was hospitalized, she recreated the illustration that Xavier tore up.
Julia redrew the illustration based on her memory, and it looked almost the same as the one that was destroyed.
Her phone vibrated. It was her mother, Elaine, calling.
Julia put down the drawing board and answered, "Hello, Mom?"
"Lia, when are you coming back? Your father and I knew you were coming home within these few days, so we've been looking forward to it every day."
"Mom, I have some—"
"Ms. Summers, it's time for you to get your IV drip today. Please extend your right arm."
Both the nurse and Julia spoke at the same time.
Elaine immediately asked, "IV drip? You're at the hospital? Which hospital? I'll head over right away!"
"Mom, I'm fine. It's just a little cold. Don't come over," Julia quickly replied.
