Chapter 19
When Gabriel heard Kyler's words, he marched straight to the kitchen and yanked open the cabinets. All the food inside was leftovers, none of it fresh. Who knew how long they'd been sitting there?
He headed for Hannah and Jamie's room next, only to find clothes strewn across the floor, trash piling up, and dust everywhere. No one had bothered to clean a thing.
His face grew darker by the second as he made his way out of the room.
By now, Linda was as pale as a ghost. She realized that no matter what excuse she used, there was no way Gabriel was going to just let this slide. She could only hope that he'd eventually forgive her.
Gabriel didn't say a word as he left the house and went straight to the school.
