Chapter 24
At some point during Winona's rest, she began to doze off, presumably lulled to sleep by the cool caress of the fall breeze. She had no idea how long she had napped for, but she woke up to messages from her juniors, showing off the photos they had taken of the view at the summit.
"Ms. Jensen, why haven't you come up to the summit yet? We're going back soon!"
"Professor Langley said your stamina's too poor, given how far behind you've fallen from the group. He's condemning you to mandatory outdoor team activities after this!"
Winona stretched as she read the messages in the group chat. She was about to reply with a brief "Roger that!" when a shadow appeared out of nowhere and loomed over her.
She lifted her gaze and frowned. What was Logan doing here? Were there moles she hadn't removed from her social media? She would need to weed them out when she got home later.
Logan was oblivious to Winona's thoughts. He had only followed her to Mount Iravas because he wanted to formally apolo
