Chapter 22
After spending some time with Theodore, Wendy's mood had lifted a great deal. Theodore would take her to concerts, bring her to outdoor music festivals, and sit on the grass and strum folk tunes while the sunset painted the sky orange.
For the first time, Wendy felt what it was like to be loved.
These small, thoughtful gestures were like a warm flow of water that slowly softened her once cold heart.
Wendy couldn't help looking forward to what a future with Theodore might be like.
