A month later, it was finally the day of Wendy and Theodore's wedding.
Wendy sat before the vanity mirror in her white wedding dress, her face glowing with happiness.
Just then, she received a notification from her phone. It was a news article.
Almost subconsciously, she tapped it open. Then, courtroom footage of Julian appeared on the screen. Inside, he wore a prisoner's robe, and his hair was a mess. All the confidence and composure he once had were completely gone.
The judge's voice came through the audio, "Julian Gray, do you regret taking the life of Bianca Locke?"
