Vincent wore a cold expression as he grabbed Gabriella by the wrist and strode out of the restaurant without so much as a backward glance.
His silhouette was as cold as iron, as if Diana were nothing more than thin air, unworthy of even the slightest acknowledgment.
"Gabby, didn't you say you wanted a new bag?" His voice softened as he gently caressed her cheek. The chill in his eyes gradually melted away, and the frost on his face gave way to warmth, as though that earlier indifference had never existed.
Diana watched the scene unfold with quiet detachment. The corners of her lips lifted slightly into a mocking smile.
As expected, Vincent was the perfect example of a double standard.
When facing her, Vincent was always distant, his eyes filled with nothing but cold hostility. Yet, with the young and beautiful Gabriella, he showered her with endless patience and affection, as if she were the center of his world.
