Kenneth began to calm down under Beatrice's persuasion. He glared at Diana with disappointment. "Why must you be so stubborn? If only I had one more daughter…"
His voice turned icy as he shot her a disdainful look. "If there were even one more girl in the Gyleons, someone as useless as you would never have been considered worthy of marrying into the prestigious Hendrix family!"
