Chapter 47
Diana stumbled, nearly losing her balance, but the young man caught her just in time.
Her gaze dropped to the hand gripping her arm. Under the sleeve revealed a sculpted wrist and long, graceful fingers that radiated an understated grace.
For a moment, Diana's mind went blank. Then her eyes lifted, and recognition dawned. It was the man who had lent her his umbrella that day—Charlie.
While she had met him once before, her heart still skipped a beat at the sight of him. How could someone look so effortlessly flawless? There was not a single feature of him that felt out of place.
Charlie's features were sharp yet defined. A faint smile tugged his lips, though it didn't quite reach his eyes. The corners of his eyes sloped gently, framed by lashes so thick they cast feathery shadows when he looked down.
There was a quiet elegance about him, like mist drifting over mountain peaks or the cool clarity of crystal.
"Ms. Gyleon, do you remember me?" Charlie asked with a soft smile.
