Chapter 944
Andrew gestured for the timid mouse to hurry up and set off. But instead of leaving, the little creature circled around in front of him as if trying to convey something.
Andrew found its behavior odd. Watching closely, he noticed that it kept glancing back at the leftover bits of spirit herbs on the ground, reluctant to leave.
"Are you still hungry?" he asked, assuming it wanted more to eat. Without hesitation, he pulled out another generous pile of spirit herbs. These herbs were nothing to him as long as the timid mouse completed its job. He had always been generous, especially toward his beast companions.
But to his surprise, the timid mouse didn't immediately pounce on the food. Instead, it hesitated, its tiny eyes darting around as if deep in thought.
Then, without warning, it turned and bolted into the distance, its movements carrying a sense of determination.
Andrew frowned. He wasn't used to reading the emotions of beasts, as their instincts and thought processes
