Chapter 3
Ronaim felt like her heart had been stabbed by a sharp knife when she saw Nathan carry Karen away.
She got to her feet with the help of Sean.
"Ronaim, I suggest you don't act against Mr. Shaw." The director sighed as he walked close. "Mr. Shaw wanted to make Karen the first leading actress. It is me who took a great effort to get you this role. You have to work harder. Don't let me down."
"Thank you, Director." Ronaim thanked him, forcing a smile.
She was a bit in a trance. Being in the amusement circle for so many years, she had never depended on the power of the Shaw family. She got the role of heroine in every film she played solely by her own effort and capability. It was so both before and after she married Nathan. Nathan never cared how she was doing in the entertainment business.
She laughed it off. He did not love her, so of course he didn't care.
Now that the person he loved appeared, he couldn't wait to get Karen the leading roles of all the movies and TV dramas just to see a smile on her face.
After got off from work and arrived home, when she was just changing her shoes at the hallway, Ronaim heard some noise. Just as she wondered if there was a thief breaking into the house, her body was pressed against the wall violently. She felt her shoulder blades almost break after the sudden collide with the wall.
She looked up and found it was Nathan.
Nathan had never come to this home of theirs. Ronaim looked at him, not knowing why he would come back tonight. She saw the coldness and anger in his eyes and her heart ached. She had been so familiar with that glance of his.
"Ronaim! " Just as she expected, Nathan gnashed his teeth and snapped. He pressed Ronaim's hands, bent down his head to bit her lips until he tasted the blood. "Karen is in hospital again. How vicious you are!"
Ronaim raised her head and said, "A slap on the face can make her be hospitalized. Is she really so weak?"
Nathan bit into Ronaim's creamy neck and his hand reached under the hem of her dress. The tone of his voice was cold. "Karen is so weak because part of her liver is on me. You bitch, if something happens to Karen, you will be buried with her!"
Ronaim felt her whole body so weak and knelt down on the floor.
A few months ago she and Nathan had a car accident. She did not know Nathan's liver was damaged and required transplantation. Only after she was discharged from the hospital, did she know that Karen had given a tenth of her liver to Nathan, and thus became Nathan's savior.
Karen being both his sweetheart since childhood and life savior, no wonder Nathan couldn't wait to get divorced and marry her.
She covered her face with her hands. If she had known that, even Nathan needed a whole liver, she wouldn't blink to give him hers.
However, she knew nothing about it then. When she woke up, everything had been settled.
Ronaim pulled Nathan's leg. "Nathan, I can give my heart to you, not to mention one-tenth of my liver."
"That's sweet!" A flame of anger sprang up in Nathan's heart. He untied his belt and picked up Ronaim's head, press it against his crotch.
Ronaim's tears were still lingering on her lashes, and she looked up unbelievably at Nathan's face, which was calm and cold. As she struggled, Nathan pulled off his tie, tied her hands behind her back, forced her to kneel upright, and to please him with her tongue.
She felt so humiliated. She was no better than a dog at this moment.
She didn't know how long it had lasted until she felt her throat burning. Then Nathan released her.
She collapsed onto the bed, not knowing when Nathan had left.
