"Leaving already, Mr. Hall?" When Jeremy spotted Dad, he came over with the same cheerful grin and handed him a cigarette. "Yeah." Dad took it and said, "Sorry about the cemetery matter, Jeremy." The smile on Jeremy's face immediately faltered. So did everyone else's, including Brandon, Freddy, and the rest. Freddy stepped forward like he wanted to threaten Dad, but Jeremy shot him a look, and he backed off immediately. "Come on, Mr. Hall. There's no need to be so resolute. Go home and think it over.
