Chapter 10
Genevieve's body went rigid, but almost instantly, she regained her composure. She took a step back, putting more space between her and Tristan.
A chill settled in her gaze as she said, "Mr. Hale, please show some restraint."
The warning in her voice was unmistakable.
Genevieve couldn't help but wonder if this was some kind of test. Even so, she didn't have time to indulge in Tristan's stupid games.
Tristan, on the other hand, studied her. He didn't get angry. If anything, the amusement in his eyes deepened.
He adjusted the towel at his waist, his posture relaxed as he let out a chuckle. "You've got quite the temper, huh? But you've got the wrong man. The person you're here to see is over there."
Genevieve frowned, wondering if he was fooling her.
She shot Tristan a cold glance, said nothing more, and turned toward the door across the hall.
