What Wendy didn't know was that the calmer and more polite she was, the more Julian felt she was unworthy of her position and lacked real ability.
When they reached the hospital entrance, Julian suddenly leaned in close to her.
"If I were you, I wouldn't dare stay in the symposium any longer. If you slip up, it'd be a real embarrassment."
His mocking words came from above her head. By the time Wendy processed them, they had already gotten into their respective cars.
Through the car window, Julian was still staring at her. His hand, resting on his leg, was clenched into a fist.
He looked down on Wendy, doubted her abilities, and didn't bother hiding his dissatisfaction.
"What did you say to Wendy?" Dylan's voice suddenly rang out. "You don't seem to like her very much."
Julian snapped out of his thoughts and quickly concealed the jealousy burning in his eyes.
"I said we'll see each other at dinner tonight. You've got the wrong idea. Wendy's young, and she reminds me of my sister
