Fortunately, no one gave Wendy any trouble as they left the restaurant.
Once they got in the car, she noticed Liam was lost in thought and asked, "What's wrong? Are you tired? Do you want me to drive?"
"I'm fine," he replied, snapping out of it and starting the engine.
Liam had just been thinking that James seemed to care about Wendy more than he had expected.

"After my parents passed away, Aunt Margaret was the one who took care of me."
