Wendy looked down at her flat shoes. "Doesn't look like there's a knife on my shoes."
She might believe it if they said she had kicked a bone fracture, but a torn wound? Was Jenna made of cardboard?
Seeing the sarcasm on her face, James grew even more annoyed. "She's your sister. Even if you have deep misunderstandings about me, do you have to talk like this?"
"How do you expect me to speak to you then, Mr. Frank?" Wendy scoffed. "The only reason I'm even talking to you is because of Grandpa. Do you think you or Jenna matters to me?"
"You're getting more and more disrespectful!" he snapped and took a step forward.
Wendy stepped back, her guard up. "Don't try anything. This is a hospital."
Suddenly, James' phone vibrated. He glanced down at the screen and said, "At least you know it's a hospital. If you don't want to be infamous here, you'd better apologize to Jenna."
