In the scorching summer sun of the afternoon, she met with Khizar Hayat for the first time.

On the way back to college due to extreme heat she comes to her friend's house, Amber.

As her house was quite distant from her college. Air conditioner in her lounge has made her gave relief after a while, she saw Amber gossiping with her cousin, Khizar Hayat.

They both were so engrossed in talking that Amber forget to introduce him to her friend.

She was now introducing both to each other.

"Tehreem, meet Khizar, my cousin, he lives in England, don't know what made him visit Pakistan in such a hot weather, it's his second time that he pays gratitude to visit our home."

Amber talks about him interestingly. While she just nodded her head in Salam.

"Walakium Salam, God bless you." Khizar replied in a chilling mood. She did not dare to say anything after that.


After a whole week, she came face to face with that person and it also was unexpectedly.

Due to Sunday, she came to visit the market with her Bhabi (brother's wife) as she was purchasing a novel. It was one of the biggest bookshops in the city.

Here she saw Khizar Hayat, who was also there to purchase poetry books. He seems to be very delighted after seeing her.

"Assalamo aliakum..." as he spotted her in the shop, he immediately came to her leaving a book.

Tehreem got startled after seeing him here. She recognized him but didn't know how to talk to him.

She gazes at her Bhabi who was busy talking with booksellers about novels.

"You didn't come after that day". He has so much attraction in his eyes.

On his words, Tehreem glanced at him and secondly turns to look at her Bhabi, who was still talking with the bookseller.

Thank God she didn't pay heed to them, otherwise, she will make a fuss of it.

"I will come, but now I am here with Bhabi". She seems to be afraid while talking with him.

Khizar Hayat was enjoying her state.

"What happened, we are just talking here." He was deliberately trying to annoy her while standing in her way.

She was not getting what to say.

"I can't talk to you," She said a little harshly now, and taking a step aside, she went to her sister in law and stood with her.

Her palms were sweating now.


All dressed in bridal wear, she is playing with her bangles while sitting on the bed of her new room.

At that instant, the room's door opens and Khizar Hayat steps in, all dressed up looking charming and handsome.

As she senses his presence in the room, she collects herself at the end of the bed.

She was not that much hope that she will be blessed with such a day.

Her heart is beating fast when Khizar takes off his coat, put it on the sofa, and sat with her on the bed.

He was all engrossed in looking at her with eyes full of feelings and emotions that made Tehreem feel shy.

"Assalamualaikum (greetings)." he said while setting very close to her.

Tehreem's eyes are glued down due to shyness.

"Walaikum salam (greeting back)." She tries to reply confidently to him but still her voice was shivering.

Khizar smiled.

"Am I late?" His hoarseness in voice and fully focused eyes has accelerated her heart.

She was not getting what he said now which led her to look up at him.

He was smiling.

"I am talking about arriving late from England, not about coming late to the room, what are you thinking?"

He was extremely happy. Tehreem not able to say anything smiled, and shake her head in no.

"See, Tehreem when intentions are pure then we can find our destination, I never known how I will make you mine, how I make Mama agree for it, I know, aur you happy now ?"

He hold her both hands in his left hand, while he put his right hand on her beautiful cheek. Due to so much closeness, her breath is becoming uneven.

But still, she nodded her head. Her state made Khizar go close to her.

"I'm so happy, Tehreem, you can't imagine how happy I am today, tumhen pa kar you lagta hai jese dunya ki har nemat mere haathon me semat ai ho, Sachi (by getting you I feel like I have got everything, really).

His perfume smell along with his so much closeness and expression of feelings has made her face all red.

She was not even breathing properly due to so many overwhelming feelings.

"Tehreem.." Feeling her reluctance, Khizar made his voice deeper.

She hardly raises her head to look into his eyes.

"G (yes)"

"Are you happy?" He was mesmerized by her presence.

"Yes.." As soon as she confessed, he held her soft hand and take it to his lips for a kiss.

"Thanks...., you are the first and last girl in my life, Tehreem, I will never create an opportunity to make you complain against me, you will have to work hard to make your position strong in this house, you know that Mama is not agreed to this proposal till last, by your love you can  win her heart, and seriously it will make your life a living paradise." He was trying to make her understand the situation, sweetly.

Lowering her head, Tehreem is listening and understanding to him carefully.

She already knows that his mother did every effort to let her stay away from Khizar. But Khizar was strongly determined.

And he, at last, win his love. His too many feelings for her realized how lucky she is to have him.
