Chapter 106

Anfisia falls onto her butt, her hand clutching her broken nose. Blood seeps between her fingers at an alarming rate, but that doesn't scare, it only burns the fire behind her anger. Snarling, she comes at me again. She throws two fast fists, I block them both. She throws her knee up and I deflect the hit and throw her back. Her back hits the ground, but that too doesn't stop her. She throws her body to the side and kicks her leg out under me. I fall to the ground in the least graceful manner possible, my head bouncing off the snow as the last of me hits the ground. We turn our heads at the same time and our eyes meet for only a second. Quickly rolling away, we get to our feet, blood and sweat dripping down our face. Anfisia lets out a slow and burning growl that makes the snow at my feet shake.
