I turn, frightened, my heart beating faster and faster. The orange in my blood glows, but it's fainter, more of a yellow color. I only just began to understand what I am and now it feels as though I am failing myself. "I see you are manifesting into your final stages, I'm glad." I feel the man's eyes look me up and down.
