Knox's POV
I snarled in fury. A low growl erupted from my chest.
Fenrir’s rage boiled inside me. His bloodlust was so strong that it clouded my thoughts completely. I could barely see Viktor, all I could see was red.
Viktor's face was calm—too calm, like he wasn’t the reason my mate was gone, like he hadn’t taken her from me.
I was going to kill him, but it wouldn't be fast, or easy. I will kill him slowly.
I wanted to feel his bones shatter under my claws. I wanted to rip his skin open inch by inch, tear through him, break him, make him scream for mercy before I ended him.
I released another snarl, and the walls shook. My muscles coiled and tensed, as I prepared to pounce.
Viktor stood his ground.
“I know what this looks like—” he began.
“Don’t,” I growled. My voice shook with rage. “Don’t speak.”
He raised both hands slowly. “Wolf king, listen—”

I lunged at him, swiping my claws at him.
He vanished just as my claws slashed through the air where his throat had been. I turn
