Alison blinked innocently, completely unfazed by Dillon's cold expression.
But he soon looked away.
"Don't say things like that again," he said flatly.
Alison froze for a second, her smile faltering.
She couldn't help but glance at him again.
"Dillon," she called softly.
Meeting her misty eyes, Dillon looked away for the first time.
"Aren't you supposed to be dancing? I'll leave you to it," he said before walking off.
Alison clenched her fists, hurt and frustration boiling over.
"That bitch Estelle must have seduced Dillon!" she thought.
Timothy walked over and noticed her sour mood. "What happened? Weren't you just talking to Dillon?"
Already irritated, Alison snapped without meaning to. "Can't Dillon and I have a moment of privacy?"
Timothy's expression soured too when he heard the edge in her voice. "If you're mad, take it out on Dillon. What did I do to you? I don't owe you anything."
With that, he turned and stormed off.
