Melody, knowing that she didn't have the medical expertise of a doctor, had no right to interfere with Jeremy's work. If she simply focused on her duties as a nurse, that was, in its own way, a form of support. She immediately returned to the nurse's station and threw herself into work. There was no such thing as downtime for a nurse. Though her cold had subsided, her stomach remained unsettled, and her complexion appeared pallid. It was then that the senior nurse on duty, Cameron Smith, noticed her condition and suggested, "Why don't you take a break and grab something to eat, Mel?" Melody gently shook her head, replying, "I can't really do that right now. I have a patient who just pressed the call button, and I have IV fluids to change and injections to administer." It was then that one of the nurses, Natalie Clarke, chimed in, exclaiming, "I can't believe how demanding the neurosurgery department is! It was a walk in the park back when I was still in the proctology department.
