Chapter 25 Happy
Sophia walked out of the police station's interrogation room.
Ian shot to his feet upon seeing her. He even forgot that he was still handcuffed to the chair.
"It wasn't on purpose, Sophia. I just didn't want to see you so close with someone else. It's my fault, all my fault," he apologized in a small voice.
Sophia remained completely unmoved.
Ian had ruined her future, her youth, and now her first art exhibition.
She glared coldly at Ian, who was covered in wounds, and asked in a cool and intimidating tone, "Who are you to decide who stands by my side?"
That was right. He had no right to do so at all.
Ian stiffly swallowed the words that had been on the tip of his tongue. Sophia's icy gaze felt like knives in his heart, inflicting him with piercing pain.
"Please, Sophia. Don't… Don't look at me like that," he begged, his voice broken and trembling. "You never… never looked at me like that before."
