Chapter 237:Confrontations and Awkward Apologies
(Third-person's POV)
"I've looked everywhere, but I can't find it," Emma said, her voice small with embarrassment as she gestured to the borrowed sweater she was wearing.
Erik's expression darkened instantly. He checked his watch, his jaw tightening.
"It's too late to have clothes delivered now," he muttered, more to himself than to her.
Without another word, he strode to his wardrobe and began rummaging through it with quick, efficient movements. After a moment, he pulled out a smoky-grey pullover hoodie, something that looked barely worn.
"Here," he said, tossing it to Emma.
She caught it awkwardly, holding it up to examine it. The hoodie was enormous compared to her petite frame. When she slipped it on over her head, it hung loosely around her shoulders and reached nearly to her knees. Despite its oversized nature, there was something almost fashionable about how it draped over her small body.
