**Colton's POV** After I shifted back to my human form, I could feel the tension from my mate's and my naked bodies so close together. I could smell her arousal, but was unable to go to her because my body was still in pain from my shift. Suddenly, she shifted into a magnificent tiger. I stared at her in shock. I have never seen nor have I ever heard of anyone shifting into anything other than a wolf, and she didn't even seem to be in any pain when she shifted. When I smelled her, she certainly didn't smell like a shifter. This must have been how she killed the wolves that murdered her mother. I watched my mate crouch to the ground and back away from me with fear in her eyes. A low growl escaped from her. She paused when her back legs touched the water, but then took off, following the stream. I stared at her in pain physically and mentally.
