Chapter9

**Unknown POV** I tried to stop my mate from going in the house, but as soon as I stepped out from behind the bushes, I was attacked by two large wolves. I could tell that they were from an enemy pack because of their scents. The wolves attacked me and stopped me from going into the house after my mate. While I was fighting them, I could hear my mate scream. As soon as she screamed, all I could see was red from my rage. I fought harder against the two wolves to get to her. I ripped the throat out of the smaller wolf and scratched the other across the muzzle. My opponent howled in pain. I could hear snarling and crashing inside the house which distracted me long enough for the other wolf to swipe his paw across my right shoulder. I growled and took my weight off that leg. We circled each other, trying to find the other's weaknesses. I lunged at his throat and managed to grab hold. I swiped at his stomach with my back claws while I tore at his face with my front
