The door opened, and Sebastian walked in.
Elaria recognized his footsteps without turning around. Her tone was flat as she said, "Don't come here again. No one's buying that guilty-conscience act."
Sebastian stepped forward, reaching for her shoulder, but she swiftly avoided his touch.
His hand hung awkwardly mid-air before he lowered it and spoke quietly, "I'm not getting a divorce, Elaria. We had a deal."
"I know. Two years." Her voice held no emotion.
"If you're really dead set on not signing, I'll wait," she added, indifferent. "Two years isn't that long. I'll take the money, the shares, and leave. Nothing changes."
Sebastian's voice dropped, full of frustration. "Elaria, it shouldn't have turned out like this."
She asked coldly, "Then tell me, Sebastian, what else do we have besides money?"
