Chapter 120: Acceptance

Lizzie's POV: You were driving, and you noticed someone was following you," the policeman was asking Lizzie. "Yes," Lizzie answered, recounting her story a second time. "I decided to go through the dirt road to confront whoever it was," she was saying in a solemn voice. "And the man who killed my baby happened to be my ex, or so he claimed. "And what did you do to the so-called ex?" the policeman asked, curious. "Nothing that I know of," Lizzie said, thinking critically. "And what is the man's name?" "Jack, his name is Jack." And Lizzie went about explaining his physical features. When the interrogation was done, Rick chipped in, saying, "Please, sir, make sure you find him; he is really a threat to us." The police officer nodded, his face serious. "We will do everything we can to find this man," he said. "I'm very sorry for what you've been through. If there's anything else you can think of that might help us find him, please let us know." Rick and Lizzie thanked t
