Chapter 202
LUCIAN’S POV
“Lucian, you’re insane,” Aiden said, laughing as he leaned back in his chair. “What if she refuses? Actually…what the hell am I saying? She’s definitely going to refuse.”
I ignored him, scrolling through my phone.
“The reservation,” I asked calmly, straightening the cuff of my shirt. “Is everything set?”
He sighed. “Yes. A quiet place. Private and ridiculously expensive like you wanted. Exactly the kind of place a man books when he’s trying to fix ten years of damage.”
I glared at him.
I checked my watch and stood. “Handle things here. I have to go.”
Aiden shook his head as I grabbed my jacket. “Just know that you’re risking your sanity tonight.”
“I lost it the day I lost her, Aiden.” I said, already walking out of my company.
The drive to my mansion took barely ten minutes, but my heart was pounding like I’d been driving for hours. I parked, stepped out, and immediately sent her a text.
“I’m here.”
I adjusted my shirt, fixed my cufflinks, and waited.
Five minutes passed.
