"Yes, Grandma! I promise I'll change!" Winter replied eagerly.
Another sigh escaped from Sierra. This time, she shot a complicated look at Amelia. "As I said, Mia, we're all family. Regarding last night—"
"It's wiped clean from my memories," Amelia interrupted with a forced smile. "Don't worry about it, Grandma. I promise to get along with Winter."
Frankly, this only made Sierra more uneasy. Seeing that the car had pulled over at the front, she brushed the feeling off and urged, "Alright. Get in. Be sure to come home by 11:00 am."
Amelia waved at her. "See you later, Grandma."
Just as she bent down and slid into the car, a delicate figure suddenly squeezed in after her. Winter practically had her nose in the air as she looked down at her.
"Don't get ahead of yourself just because Grandma sided with you last night," she spat out. "I'm still the one she loves most, no matter what. Ugh, it's so annoying to sit next to an ugly freak like you!"
With that, she scoffed and climbed back
