Edward’s face, once flushed with fever, had gradually returned to its usual color. His dazed expression cleared up quite a bit, and the faint curve of his lips deepened as he spoke, voice low and smooth.
“What do you think?”
Alice paused, slightly taken aback. To say the all-powerful president of GrandVerse Group was her fan? That felt a bit... self-important.
She blinked once, then calmly shifted the topic. “I won’t let it interfere with work, Mr. Hawthorne. Don’t worry.”
Edward didn’t seem to care much for that. He just let out a quiet “Mm,” and asked, “Why do you like singing?”
Alice gave a soft smile. “At first, it was to vent. Then it just became something I really enjoyed.”
There were some darker feelings that needed an outlet—and music became her way of letting them out.
