Frank's annoying laughter responded to my exclamation, and I scoffed, wondering why he found it funny.
“I am going nowhere with my kids, okay?” I said after a few seconds of his echoing laughing sounds.
“Come on, sweetheart. Can't you differentiate between being frank and playing pranks?” he said, and I could hear him giggle softly. I sighed, heaving a sigh of relief.
Although it's not as if I don't wish to change environments, deep down, I knew I wanted to remain in Standstern just to be around George. The fear of not seeing him for another couple of years was something I knew I wouldn't be able to endure.
“Stop it; I'm not in the mood for that.” I rolled my eyes.
“Well, it's obvious. My kids?” he asked as I rolled my hair into a bun with just one of my hands.
“Sleeping, I guess,” I said. I really wanted the call to end anytime soon.
“So early?” he questioned, and I only hummed with a shrug.
“We'll talk tomorrow..” he said, and I nodded, feeling quite glad.
