Seeing the silly grin on Brendan's face as he continued staring at her, Naomi prompted him awkwardly, "What are you looking at me for? Eat your food." Upon saying that, Brendan lifted his right hand and caressed her cheek gently. "Thank you, Naomi." He wasn't just thankful that she was bringing Bryson to stay with him. He was also grateful that she always had feelings for him and always cared for him. Feeling Brendan's tender affection, Naomi lifted her left hand and patted his head like the way she would cajole Bryson. "Be good. Eat your food." Brendan was tickled. He laughed and chided, "Heartless woman." She sure knew how to tug at his heartstrings. A short moment later, they were done with their meal. Brendan offered to clear the table and do the dishes, but Naomi didn't allow him to because he was the one who prepared the food. Following that, she put on an apron and started clearing the table. Brendan was extremely moved. He could tell that Naomi sympathized with him.
