When Brendan implied that Naomi had done a great job raising Bryson, Oscar fell silent and continued the game.
He understood that Brendan was telling him that Bryson was such a pleasant kid because Naomi had taught him well. He took after Naomi, and others might not be able to raise such a wonderful child.
Oscar was distracted. Suddenly, Bryson said, "Great-Grandpa, you can't make that move, or I'll surround you again in no time."
