Chapter 31 Don't Be So Cruel
Rowan Blackwood was still reeling from Marielle Duvall's reckless driving when he noticed her car veering off course. His eyes narrowed in alarm.
Marielle's vehicle hurtled toward the guardrail like a bolt of lightning, and Rowan's face turned pale.
"Marielle!"
He dashed after the car, frantic and wide-eyed.
Victor Langley and the others hadn't even processed what was happening when a deafening crash echoed—the car had slammed head-on into the barrier.
The guardrail, unable to withstand the impact, snapped apart instantly, erupting in blinding sparks.
Yet the car didn't stop. It skidded forward over two hundred meters before colliding with a stone pillar, flipping violently into the air.
Everyone stood frozen.
The scene had unfolded too suddenly to comprehend.
Rowan's heart leapt into his throat. As he ran, he shouted, "Victor—call an ambulance! Get a fire extinguisher—now!"
Victor snapped out of his shock and immediately began coordinating the rescue.
