Chapter 62 – The Man in The Mirror
In an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of the city, the remnants of a botched mission converged as they scampered back to their hideout.
The building, once a thriving hub of industry, now stood as a monument to decay and secrecy. Inside, the dim glow of a single overhead light cast long shadows, creating a scene that could have been plucked from a noir film.
Andrew paced back and forth, his temper a barely controlled inferno. His men, a hardened group of enforcers and hitmen, stood in a tense semi-circle, their faces a mix of fear and defiance.
“Tonight's mission was a disaster, no success, no girlfriend, no van and we lost a man” he
said calmly but still very firm.
"How did this happen?" Andrew's voice was a dangerous whisper, the kind that preceded violence. "We had everything planned down to the last detail. How did The Ark outmaneuver us?” He asked his men.
“There's something I must point out boss” Marshall said, “Yes?” Andrew asked,
“There was another man from nowhere”
