ALPHA KONAN'S POV
I couldn't sleep all night. The emotions swirling within me refused to let me rest. Madeline's rejection had caught me off guard.
How dare she!!!
I needed distraction, a lot of it. I so much craved for an outlet, a physical outlet to undo the anger and frustration trying to camp within me.
I headed down to the pack training grounds. I hoped the sight of disciplined warriors honing their skills would remind me of the order I demanded in my life.
But what I saw only deepened my anger.
Scattered warriors milled about aimlessly, some lounging, others chatting idly. Not one of them noticed my presence.
I stood there, watching them for a moment, disappointed. They were supposed to be our first line of defense against attacks. Instead, they were wasting precious time.
"What is the meaning of this," I bellowed angrily.
Everyone went still. Their face a mixture of surprise and fear was lined on their faces, as they scrambled to form a line. They bowed in unison, greet
