5. The Part Where We Talk All Night
I hang up on Cameron as soon as she agreed, promising her that I would arrive back there in a few minutes. "Hey, can you turn back to the last stop we went to?"
The driver winced, he was young, probably younger than me. "Give me a break lady, this is my route on home."
My eyebrows raised up, "I'll pay you double than what I owe you. Now come on, turn this cab around." I earn another wince from him, but he didn't really fight my offer.
I felt normal now. No song, no picture, and no stupid memory flaunted itself inside my mind. I was calm and that's the way it should be. I just needed to keep my cool as long as I was with Cammie.
Straight or not, she was my friend now. Although she was a friend I really liked-too much, probably-that should be set aside since my relationship with her is definitely on shallow ground. I don't wanna mess things up just because of my silly little crush.
