Exiting the cafe, I looked around for signs of Jonathan and Alena but I couldn't find them anywhere. Just as I was about to pull out my phone to give Jonathan a call, he suddenly showed up behind me with Alena.
"I was worried about you" I admit. Glancing down at Alena, I add. "How are you holding up, buddy?"
With her hands wrapped around her body, she admits. "I just want to go home. Far away from here as possible"
Patting her head, I cheered her up. "Well, you did good today. Can you wait for your dad in the car? I would like to have a word with him"
"Sure thing"
When Alena was out of earshot, I begin. "You did good today, Jonathan. I know you must have been shocked to find Alena in the state she was"
"Honestly, I didn't expect her to cry this much when I'd advised her to meet with Julia. I feel like I just made her scar run deeper"
"I disagree with that" I respond. "You gave her a chance to let go off her anger and now that Julia has heard what Alena has to say, they could both
