29. SOUR DESIRE.
ANASTASIA’S POV
The morning light filtered through the blinds, painting stripes across the sheets as I stirred, still curled in Isaac’s arms. His warmth pressed against me as I listened to the soft rise and fall of his chest.
I shifted and I felt something against my neck. My fingers grazed it. It was a necklace, matching the ankle bracelet from last night. This time, it had my initials glinting in gold.
A smile tugged at my lips, and I nuzzled into him, inhaling his scent.
I leaned up to brush a soft kiss against his cheek and Isaac stirred beneath me. His eyes cracked open. There was a sleepy smile waiting for me, the kind that always managed to undo me a little.
“Good morning,” I whispered, brushing more soft kisses across his cheek. “I love it.”
His grin widened lazily, and a spark of mischief was behind his calm expression. “Good morning,” he murmured back with his voice rough with sleep.
I tilted my head, teasing, “So… how am I supposed to please you today?”
